Discussion on Lenin

I wanted to address something that was said at the end of section today. I felt like it was something that we needed to discuss a little more in depth because that was one interpretation of Lenin's theory of the DoP. I would have to argue that believing that there will be masses of people just going around shooting everyone is showing little or no hope for humanity to show their kindness. Yes, it is an assumption for Lenin to say that people will do what is in the best interest of the community, but saying that people will only be looking out for their own interest is also an assumption itself. I would like to believe that people are inherently kind, but under the current economic structure we are forced to make decisions aware that although we might benefit someone else it getting the short end of the stick.  Im not saying that Lenin's theory is flawless, it's far from it, but it is too hard to believe that we can all live with the the best interest of the community in mind? What do you folks think?
